
David Thomas, 38-years-old and from Mira Loma, cannot believe he will have the opportunity to compete at the 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea.
David has competed in Special Olympics for many years and is very excited to represent his country in floor hockey. He has won numerous gold medals in a variety of sports at Southern California competitions. Now, he will compete for gold on a global scale.
To David, Special Olympics has been more than a place to compete in sports. He has made countless friends and been given the opportunity to grow as person. Along with participating in sports, he works at Johnson Pump in the maintenance department.
David competes in aquatics, basketball, floor hockey, soccer, and softball.
